Serial Terminal

Talk to your firmware over UART / USB serial.

A browser-based serial monitor for USB and UART devices. Connect to a serial port, view ASCII or hex, send commands and read control signals — everything runs locally in your browser; no data leaves the tab. Pairs with the BLE Terminal for radio-only targets.

Why in the browser?

The Web Serial API gives the page direct access to a serial port. No driver install (beyond the OS USB-CDC driver), no native app — useful for quick hardware bring-up and field debugging. Same idea as NinjaTerm's serial connection type, rebuilt as a zero-install web tool.

Line settings

Baud rate, data bits, parity and stop bits are configurable before connecting. 115200 8N1 is the common firmware default; the port is opened with flow control disabled.

ASCII & hex

Toggle the RX view between decoded UTF-8 and hex byte dump. Transmit either plain text (optionally with a trailing LF) or raw hex pairs, chunked for the underlying transport.

Accessibility

Keyboard-first: Tab through controls, Enter sends, visible focus rings, and reduced-motion is respected via the XCOM token layer. The console is an ARIA live region.
